Our 2016 Rosé is a combination of both Pinot Noir and Grenache and was crafted using the saignée method, a French term meaning ‘to bleed’. We drained fresh juice from tanks of both Pinot Noir and Grenache grapes within hours of the fruit arriving to the winery. This juice was then fermented in a neutral oak barrel and small stainless steel barrel. Intended to be enjoyed in its youth, this wine is the first expression of the vintage with its refreshing fruit and vibrant purity.
Finish Chemistry: 13.5%, 5.8g/L TA, 3.28 pH
The 2016 Rosé is perfumed with lifted aromas of rose petals, rooibos, cherry clafoutis and fennel. Flavors are expressive and fresh with notes of blue raspberry, pomegranate, watermelon, and white pepper. The palate is succulent and generous giving body and form to the wine with a satisfying acidity that holds the finish in focus, highlighting purity, freshness and mouthwatering deliciousness.
